It wasnt seen as an issue with photospheres. You could hide your name but many dont.
Um… I hope the translation has turned out well, but does that mean that the two of you hold completely opposite opinions?
Basically yes, which is perfectly OK, since everyone here is human ![]()
I would say different opinions ![]()
And Ambassadors don’t have to have exactly the same opinions/ interpretations.
I do see the issue of is the submitter identifable because of the potential of the user name on scaniverse. Mine is different, but I can easily imagine many use the same.
I have reviewed other people’s submissions at places where I have made photospheres and so someone will see my name on that and may think it’s my submission.
Honestly, it’s not feasible at present because names are displayed.
And since they’re now separate companies, I don’t think they’d accept a proposal to include anonymity as an option.
Another concern I have is that Scaniverse could be abused as a means to manipulate wayspot nominations.
The practice of showing URLs to make non-existent things appear present has existed since the Photo Sphere era.
Unlike Photo Spheres, however, this involves photographing the actual object itself, making it easier to deceive people.
