Invalid Wayspot Appeal - Break glass

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

The problem with these are local laws on property boundaries.

For us in the UK our boundary does not include the pavement (side walk) so this would be eligible here.

I am aware that this is not the case everywhere but you would need to show evidence that the waypoint is on SFPRP as per local laws.

This wayspot appears to be a Fire Alarm that has been installed on public right of way / footpath.

I think this wayspot would only be removed in the event it obstructed access to emergency or critical services.

Yes, to me it looks like it’s public right of way.

The picture doesn’t really show what the object is… if it’s a fire alarm box, and not something else (like an LFL), you might have different results with a picture that more clearly shows what it is. That MIGHT fall under emergency operations.

Street view clearly shows a Fire Alarm.

I am assuming that these are no longer in use and it is here for decorative purposes, obviously local reviewers would be able to confirm this.

The only reason I can see for the rejection is the SFPRP / public area argument.

Being in the UK it seems strange to me that the side walk / pavement may be classed as part of the private property as that is not the case in the UK but I am aware that it is the case in some areas of the world.

If that is the case here then my only suggestion is that the OP needs evidence to prove it. Boundary maps etc.

Reports like this don’t go to local reviewers. This isn’t a new submission.

Local reviewers will have accepted it in the 1st place knowing whether it it is now purely decorative and will not effect Emergency Services.
