Thanks for the appeal, @Miguering! We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.

I’m honestly surprised by this decision. This Wayspot is right in the middle of a parking lot with no sidewalks or safe pedestrian access. It’s a real safety hazard because players have to stand in the middle of traffic to interact with it. Please reconsider, as it’s just not a safe spot to be…

Car parks are a bit different when compared to roads, as pedestrians are expected to be walking to and from their vehicles as they park them. If there wasn’t safe pedestrian access to a car park, you wouldn’t want to park your car there in the first place.

I get what you mean, but this isn’t a walkway to a car. It’s an area where pedestrians don’t belong, and encouraging people to stop and stare at their phones in the middle of a traffic lane is just asking for an accident. I’m pretty sure if this were a new nomination today, it would be rejected immediately for being unsafe for pedestrians. It really shouldn’t be a game location.

The wayspot is not in the middle of a traffic lane. It is at the edge of the car park on the wall.

it is the location of the wayspot that matters, not whether there are unsafe places nearby where people could theoretically choose to stand.

For example, a wayspot on the pavement is usually acceptable, even though there is a traffic lane right next to it where it would be unsafe to stand.

How would one get into and out of their car if a car park wasn’t safe for pedestrians? I think this location seems okay.
