Is a fireplace eligible?

Hello. I got this rejection by the AI system a while ago and I wonder if I should apply an appeal on this. It seems to me it’s a fireplace.

I wonder if with the snow covering it if we are really able to say if it’s a bbq or not.

There is no clarification around the eligibility of a fireplace. I have had a few fire pits accepted when they clearly provide a destination to be social. I don’t see that with the part of your nomination that you showed us. However, I do encourage people to appeal ML (machine learning ai) rejections when they feel they were wrong, so it can learn something new. ML seems to struggle with snow pictures. If you are looking for a promise that the appeal will be accepted, I can’t give you that.

I think the snow on top makes this quite a confusing picture as it effectively hides/detracts from the object.
So I would retake a photo with at least the top clear.

You say “wooden fireplace”. I think you mean a stone built fireplace to burn wood. And that should be followed by something along the lines of providing a social focal point for cooler evenings. Or if it’s used as a barbeque then say so.
Hopefully there is seating space around it, an arrangement of large logs would be fine, something that emphasises that it is a place to sit and socialise.
The fact that it’s near a wedding chapel appears to be irrelevant.

I can’t retake the picture since the place is thousands of km away from me, so that one would have to do. It’s more like a table with a hole in the middle and a bunch of wood underneath it. I called it a fireplace for a lack of knowledge of a better name.
I mentioned the wedding chapel because it can’t be viewed by satellite photo and it’s in the woods, so there’s no street view, and since the wedding chapel is already a wayspot it could be used as a reference other than the supporting photo.

I think the photo might be an insurmountable challenge. Not only does the snow obscure it, there is no evidence of seating in the area. The eligibility criteria include a great place to exercise, to explore or to gather socially. I assume you are nominating this under the third criterion above - a great place to gather socially. Without good supporting evidence, your photo should really help capture that this is a place where people gather to socialize. The current photo doesn’t help that.

What supporting pic and info do you have?

Yeah, I know the pic doesn’t help haha. I think it might be used for barbecue given it is right next to the wedding “chapel”, which has seating logs and small tables. Here is my supporting photo, which was taken facing the fields to show the location:
