So the photo is from my neighborhood no doubt, and the account (LordFalck) is certainly mine, but I have no recollection of nominating anything to anyone. And this is the second mail today that I get.

Please check your contributions at Niantic Wayfarer to see what is there. This should show whether that submission is genuinely on your profile.
In the email, below the photos, you will find the submission co-ordinates. Copy them into google maps (or your preferred map service) and see if you can remember ever going there. Cross-reference with the submission date.
