Is this appealable?

As it is a trade building I would not consider it sensitive, it is basically just an embassy for economy and it is not considered a “skyddsobjekt” I would also add that this is just the sign for the building and not the building itself which makes it a lot more accessible.

The building itself is worth exploring (a building like this I would say is important)for in my opinion, there is sociability in there as it is a business center for communication but no exercise really so I personally think it fits into the overall criteria.

Here’s where I, as a reviewer, might have problems. The point of interest isn’t the sign, it is the building. The sign is infrastructure. Accessibility to players is not wholly a factor in play in determining whether something is eligible.

Feel free to write in Swedish if you are more comfortable communicating in that language. Many of us will struggle, but I think we have Swedish speakers here.

I don’t think I would have denied it as a sensitive location. I think this is something I would approve but it’s difficult to know without seeing the whole nomination. Think about how this would meet criteria.

This building is the office of the Russian Trade Federation. Given current world events, now I understand why some may consider it a “sensitive location.” Is this a place people would go to socialize? Do they hold events for the community or country? Are there cultural activities? This may fit well with the exploration criterium, too.

If it’s just a governmental office building, it probably doesn’t qualify.

If it’s a highly secure area and heavily restricted, that wouldn’t automatically disqualify this, but I could see why this should be denied.

If you choose to appeal it, focus on how it meets criteria. Exploration and Socialization would seem to be the applicable ones.

Since I don’t know the exact content of the candidate’s description or supplementary information, I can’t say for certain, but based on my research, I believe the judgment of “Sensitive Location” is appropriate.

This candidate is “The sign for the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Sweden.” Although the title includes the word “sign,” I believe it is essentially a Russian diplomatic organization.

Checking Google Maps, the premises are surrounded by an iron fence. Stickers indicating “No Trespassing” are posted everywhere, and the gate appears to be controlled and opened from a security office. Based on the map alone, I find it difficult to describe this as a place suitable for “exploration” or “interaction.”

Given that finding eligibility is difficult, and considering the current international situation, I believe it is a natural conclusion that many reviewers deemed it sensitive.

If you plan to resubmit this nomination or appeal, I suggest focusing on aspects such as when this organization was established and what role it plays. Considering the history of both countries, it seems to me that this trade office was established quite some time ago. I also think it is equally important to explain exactly what this trade office does.

At the very least, I think more reviewers will pay attention to the explanations and supplementary information than if you were simply applying for it as a “sign.”

There are no signs saying no trespassing only no parking I think

Oh, I’m sorry!
I looked at the map again, and you’re right—it does look like a no-parking sign.

Also, it seems there’s a dance school, a café, and a visitor center on the west side of this facility.
I think these could all be good candidates, so I encourage you to consider applying for them.
