To be fair, I remember a few years ago, there was a thread online, that a lot of mosques wrote to niantic to delete poi on their land since a lot of people congregated there and the idea of catching little monsters was haram in their beliefs. Would not wonder even for a second that some failsafe was put in place to get around such a scenario to happen again.
Sorry I don’t know anything in this regard. I have seen countless mosques becoming not only PokeStop but a PokeGym. There are many religious groups with different ideologies that’s what I can say for now.
