Japanese nominations showing up in Sweden

I got a few nominations from japan despite my home and bonus location both being set in Sweden

  • Description of the issue

Like 4 or 5 of them mixed in with mostly Swedish nominations today 27/05-26

  • Date first (or most recently) experienced

  • Iphone 16, iOs 18.5

  • Device type, model, and operating system

  • Wayfarer

  • Game & Game Version (if applicable)

I have never physically or digitally been in Japan

My account also doesnt have the stamp rally thats given out upon entering Japan

Welcome to the Wayfarer Community Forum.

The nominations and edits you get for review are influenced by your Hometown, Bonus locations and your active/recent play area. If you have been to a different location in the recent past, you will get nominations from that place for review. The system is working as intended.

To add to the discussion, many find it’s best to set your Bonus Location to some place different from your Hometown location. As Aaron said, you can triple the number of reviews you see if your Bonus, Hometown, and recent Play areas are all different. I have my Hometown set to where my father’s family lives (a different city in my state). I change my Bonus around when I am able to see different parts of the world (but I often default to some kind of Carribean Island). And then my Play area doesn’t change too terribly often - that’s where I live and work. So I get a nice variety of places to review and I never seem to run out.
