Hi,
I nominated a local bookstore thinking it would pass on the explore and social reasons.
Its local, independent, family run and the only bookstore in my town.
It runs a bookclub monthly for the community and has seats inside for people to sit down and read without purchase.
It also participates in a stamp rally with 20 something other independent bookstores around the country, encouraging tourists to visit these stores to collect their book rally stamps.
It also sells a lot of independent authors and irish works. So i thought it would make a good spot.
Theres a burger place in my town that has its sign as a spot (not sponsored), but this pretty neat bookstore doesn’t qualify.
Should i resubmit or give up on it?
Should i take a photo of the window display of books or maybe an interior pic? Any tips?
Edit : I forgot to mention it also co hosts events and book readings with our local library.
I highlighted all of this in the nomination too.
This sounds like a lovely place. I think you should resubmit or appeal the rejection.
That said, I recommend that you share your nomination from the Contributions tab. That way folks here can give you some feedback that may improve your chances of the bookstore being accepted.

I think [Redacted] bookstore is a very important social hub for the town and a store that encourages exploration. [Redacted] books alongside 23 independent bookstores in [Redacted] participate in a stamp rally type event, encouraging book readers to visit these stores receiving unique stamps as an incentive. It also runs a montly bookclub for the community and regularly hosts events in partnership with [Redacted] Town Library. They have numerous seating areas in store allowing people to sit down, socialise and read.

For context the photo was just of the exterior store sign and name, maybe that didnt help my case?
Sounds great but you need to show evidence for all the events they participate in. Do they list these on there website? if so add to the support.
They post them on their facebook and instagram. I mentioned them but should i provide links in the support information?
Definately, Lots of us reviewers are quite lazy and if you don’t feed us the proof on a plate we can decide to decline.. 
That’s fair, i suppose its right the burden of proof is on the nominater. I’ll post some links in a resubmission and hopefully it will go through.
Do you have any tips for the photo. Is the exterior name sign acceotable or should it be inside the store? The street is quiet narrow so i couldnt get the window display and name in one pic so i went for the name sign by itself.
No expert but I would say it depends on the specific building. In my opinion it would be in the following order…
1 - The building & sign (If its nice and you can get a decent image).
2 - The “Event Area” especially if a sign with the name of the shop is included.
3 - The exteria sign on its own. Always seems like you are hiding something with just the sign. This is just my opinion as lots of people would recommend this option.

Thats fair.
I could try to fit the window display and sign in one photo, the window display has a semi open book with the book stores name carved into the pages so it is quiet nice. Failing that I’ll look for store logos inside. I appreciate your help.
