I came searching the community boards because I’m getting irritated with the automated system declining some of my nominations. The one that brought me here was because I nominated the makerspace in our local library, and it’s been auto-declined twice so far, so I wanted to double-check any community guidelines I might have missed.
However, this is the only post. And a public makerspace seems like an ideal wayspot to me, for both socializing and exploring. I’ll submit it again, but…the rate of auto-declining is rather frustrating.
My suggestion is to create your own post (maybe an Ambassador will split this for you).
You then need to post all the details, both photos, Title, Description, Supplemental and Location (found in the 1st email you receive when you nominate).
You will then get suggestions on what can be improved.
I think the best way to offer help and support will be to split this into its own topic , so it gets specific attention
Spaces such as you describe can make good wayspots.
It would help us to give the best advice, if you could please post your nomination - the photos, all the text and if possible the location.
There are various thing that can cause rejection so we need to see full detail on your nomination. Sometimes some nomination might need appeal if it cant pass AI check. But we usually try resubmit with improved foto and/or information
Thank you for responding and helping me with this. I’ve attached 3 screenshots of the nomination in question. I would have preferred a primary photo of the whole interior of the Creation Lab and the various tools and murals inside of it, but there are always librarians and community members inside working, learning, or creating.
First ,I dont know how AI works, only staff know. To me, It looks great but try put yourself in AI point of view. It probably cant distinguish your submission from regular door and the reflection probably confuse it. Close up foto might be better imho
That’s what I’m thinking must be happening. I’ve noticed a similar pattern with any primary photo with a large amount of nature (sky/trees/grass), or is tightly cropped up and without a background (historical plaque, mosaic tile, etc.)
