We know some triggers that causes map integrity issues but not the full picture. It would be useful to know the root cause and why it keeps happening.
Right now, I can tell you there are some places where many user-submitted approved Wayspots exist in the database but none appear in-game (Pokémon GO in this case as there is no Ingress from Wayfarer). Just one is expected to appear due to its inclusion rules. Note:
- not geoblocked
- been months since acceptance
- nothing else in cell
Previously Aaron had to refresh the density and inclusion rules to fix issues that fell into this pattern for them to appear.
Do users really need to report the issue and the rules are manually enforced to fix the issue? Shouldn’t it be reliable? Shouldn’t it be an automated process? Appreciate the overall map is massive so something like a scheduled task might take some time but surely if you knew there was a lot of activity in one area then an additional rule could address that? Is it good use of resources for someone to manually press a button?
Isn’t there a better way?
