Masses of fakes, Grassmoor Country Park / Corbriggs near Chesterfield, UK

I keep finding more and more fake nominations at this location, usually the MO is that they copy a legitimate wayspot from somewhere in the vicinity.

Both of these have the same photo:

Lots of copies of this, I believe the original is at 53.200748, -1.384669

This reads “NHS University Hospitals of North Midlands” which is clearly not correct

Somewhere around 53.21166176623491, -1.390894630016815 is a wayspot with a name like “Snap your photo here” which can also be found at 53.20467, -1.3851559999999998 and 53.206084999999995, -1.38608

I would say that about half the wayspots here are either completely fake or are duplicates. Wayfarer team, I think this needs a proper look at and not just a piecemeal approach.

Also, we could really use a good wayspots map to counter this type of abuse..

Thanks for the report @shritwod . I’ll have this location checked.

@shritwod Thanks for posting this. I just came across one in review.

And more..

For the avoidance of doubt, there is no public footpath here and there were several fake wayspots recently removed - OpenStreetMap

Next to it is..

The same photo is used for two wayspots. StreetView does not show a marker like this at either location.

Another fake one, can this be looked at @NianticAaron or someone else on the team?

Spoiler alert, you can’t see if from the road because there is no such place. The main image is stolen from here - Honeycomb (Outsize Magnified Bees in Hive sculpture or statue) – ArtParkS

I keep forgetting and get lazy. I simply rejected this a few minutes ago for inaccurate location, since it said “can be viewed from the road” but clearly couldn’t,

Wayspot not in supporting photo - tick
No evidence wayspot exists there - tick
Information provided is clearly false - tick

That’s enough to get suspicious about it being abuse, and not lazily reject for location.
