Missing Wayspot in Pokémon Go

I received an email on March 29, 2026 that my Wayspot was approved. I was excited because out of about 30-40 nominations I finally had one approved. The email stated it could take up to 48 hours. I am trying to figure out why it is not showing live in Pokémon Go. Super disappointing and frustrating.

Welcome to the forum! There is an additional step for a Wayspot to become a pokestop. See this topic: Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

I will see if I can find your Wayspot to illustrate the issue.

If you have only had one accept in that many submissions, you may want to post for advice in Nomination Support

Edit: found it. Wolf Creek Park Picnic Area #2 is already in game in this cell, so yours cannot be a Pokestop or gym.

It does appear to be eligible to be used as a Power Spot, but we have not confirmed how those are chosen yet.

As the Center does not appear on Street View or Satellite, if you can prove it exists does this mean that the Picnic site is no longer there?

It looks like that park area on Maps has been replaced by a huge building. If you report the existing Wayspot for removal, yours is eligible to replace it as a Pokestop or gym in Pokemon Go. You can use that link and take geo tagged photos to help in the report.

The picnic area is still there, so it should not interfere with this nomination. The Wolf creek center was added to the property but does not affect the existing picnic area.

In that case it reverts to the “1 wayspot per cell to be used as Pokestop or Gym” rule.

It does look to be in the “Dynamax Powerspot” pool, as these rotate they will not be shown in the game all the time.

Maybe we could help with some of your rejections?

Suggestion:

  • Start a new thread in Nomination Support.
  • Do 1 at a time so you don’t get bombarded. Pick your most likely first.
  • Show all details, both photos, Title, Description, Supplemental and location.

Please Note: We will give advice but depending on the situation it may not be the advice you hoped for. It could be…

  • Incorrectly Rejected, Send Appeal.
  • Could be accepted with some changes.
  • Not eligible. Forget it and move on.

If you want suggestions for the area, again start a new post, state that you are looking for suggestions in the local area and give the location (Do NOT use you home address. Use a local park, crossroads, town centre etc). Long / Lat is preferred.
