I am requesting assistance for two different nominations that are currently stuck in my area. Since they are located in an extremely remote location with no player or reviewer density (Bahía Fildes, Antártica Chilena), the queue is completely frozen.
One of them is currently “In Queue” and the other one is already “In Voting”, but neither is moving at all.
I would highly appreciate it if any experienced reviewer with an available Bonus Location could set it nearby to help clear these local nominations.
Wayspot 1: Monumento Piloto Luis Pardo Villalón (Status: In Queue)
Wayspot 2: Gobernación Marítima Antártica Chilena y C.P. Bahía Fildes (Status: In Voting)
Thank you so much for your support! Below are the screenshots of my pending nominations.
Those were submitted June 6th? It’s way too early to be concerned about them being stuck. That’s only 2 weeks ago. 2 - 4 weeks is completely normal, especially for an area with not many reviewers.
Wow what an unusual location for submissions.
I have enjoyed looking into it.
From observations that wayfinders have made I believe that these should enter the voting pool for reviewers in Chile. So 2 weeks is not long.
If the 2 are very close to each other the one in voting may be blocking the other.
Can you post an update in a month or so if the one in voting is not resolving.
Unfortunately, using the “Bonus Location” to assist in such an “Extreme Remote” area will lock people in for 3 months where maybe these 2 are the only Reviews they will get from it.
The Bonus Location is great for helping standard “Remote” areas where people will get Dozens (maybe even hundreds) over the 3 months.
Maybe Wayfarer could give more frequent Bonus Location changes to certain reviewers such as the Ambassadors?
Hello seaprincesshnb,
Thank you for your reply! I completely understand that 2 weeks is a short time under normal circumstances.
However, I wanted to share this because the location is King George Island in Antarctica (Bahía Fildes). In extreme and isolated areas like this, we have zero local reviewers in our S2 cells. Without community visibility from outside or manual intervention, nominations here usually remain frozen indefinitely.
I just wanted to bring some awareness to this unique location. I appreciate your patience and time!
Thank you so much for the warm welcome and for looking into my location! It is indeed a very unique place to play.
You are completely right, they are located quite close to each other inside the base, so that blocking mechanic makes total sense.
I will wait patiently and I’ll definitely post an update here in about a month if the one in voting remains stuck. Thanks again for your advice and support!
That is a very valid point. I completely understand why players wouldn’t want to lock their Bonus Location for 3 months just for two reviews. I actually experienced that strict cool-down limit myself recently.
I really hope Wayfarer implements more flexibility for extreme remote areas or changes for Ambassadors in the future, as you mentioned.
That is wonderful to hear! It is a huge relief to know that Niantic has an internal review system to prevent nominations in extreme areas from being lost forever.
Knowing there is a 4-month window gives me a lot of peace of mind. Thank you so much for sharing that helpful piece of information!
