There are not many pokestop near my location or gyms so it is a bit frustrating when there are no raids. I need to travel more distances for that. It would be great if there was a gym/pokestop near me. Is there anything that can be done?

Wayfarer is a way of finding places that could then appear on the game board.
The first step is familiarise yourself with the framework that is used to define what is suitable and what is not - referred to as the Wayfarer criteria.
