When I reached to Lev 35 in PoGo I started nominating wayspots and 7 of them even got accepted and when you click on the pokestop and click the photo you could see the name of who submitted the photo and the date. I loved this feature, since my area had a very low pokestop/Gym density and I was the only guy who was making new stops almost all had my names(only 7) which I could flex to all my friends but when you submit from PoGo itself you could only submit 1 supporting photo which is not convenient at all. So I switched to the Niantic Website to submit wayspots which was a great upgrade for me. The best part you can even make drafts, crazy. I’m never switching back to PoGo for sumbitting new wayspots. But unfortunately your name does not display if you nominate using the naintic website and currently 25 of my wayspots have been accepted(all 25 are within 500 m radius) and only the first 7 have my name. I was so Sad to see that. So I request to add a new feature where you can choose whether to display your name in the photo or not. There is a feature “Codename Display for Wayspot Submissions” but i guess its only for when submitting from PoGo but anyways yay that feature would be very useful and not just for from now on but also for the ones that already exist cause only 7 of 25 have my name but I want all 25 to have it. Really sad.
I am of the view that you should have a choice if your name is displayed. I for one don’t want my name displayed on my approved nomination as there will be some people who will know who I am and will go out of their way to try and get my nominations removed. They may or may not succeed, but it is something that could happen and I thing not having ones name displayed is great.
This does not seem to be implemented for the web map just yet, but I completely agree it’s important to let the team know on here that the feature is needed and that parity with the game client is a normal thing we would expect.
