In my country (I don’t know how it’s done in others), modern residential complexes are given “pretty” names. Are listings with these names acceptable? I mean the signs with these names.
How do these listings meet any of the criteria for exercise, exploration, or being social? An example might help.
[I just realized that the way I phrase that question when I ask it might come across as implying they do not. I am not implying anything. That is a genuine question wanting to know how you feel these meet criteria. We don’t have any context for the thing you are asking about.]
As an reviewer, I would say that this doesn’t meet any of the criteria. Although, in a way, it might be a stretch to say that the residential complex is a forced socialization zone. Simply because hundreds of people live in the same territory, they socialize to one degree or another, not so much by their own desire, but rather due to prevailing circumstances. But I don’t like this interpretation. Can I use a photo from a recently reviewed nomination as an example? (It’s currently in the voting.)
Unless the names are written as an artwork, I would reject them quickly.
If it was a residential complex in my area, there would be meeting areas like playgrounds. You might want to investigate, if they have something like that.
In general, you can post images here from something you have reviewed if you want to ask about what sort of review you should give, or to show other people what problems you are seeing in submissions, but not if wanting to mock a submission.
If it is your own submission, then it is safe to post images into this forum. (Posting elsewhere risks the wayspot images being classified as third-party.)
(I’ve realised I can’t tell if you are talking about your own submissions or ones you are reviewing.)
Here’s an example from one I recently reviewed. The description included information about the residential complex’s ground floor housing a variety of businesses: clinics, yoga studios, language courses etc.
In my opinion, it is not correct to submit a nomination this way. A residential complex isn’t a shopping center or anything similar, and it can’t be used to consolidate all the businesses on its premises.
I would vote to reject that.
This is to reject. A yoga studio is for exercising. That could be considered. But not the complex itself.
I have seen such signage approved, but only when the lettering is very artistic or the sign has additional artwork.
The most relevant criteria I can think of is the business signal rule from the criteria clarification library
The individual businesses and enterprises might be eligible, but the complex isn’t eligible and the sign isn’t eligible.
