Nearby Stops disappeared

I have been working to contribute in an area nearby. I have had several successes including one that came across a bit earlier today. After the refresh, 3 pond fountains disappeared. I don’t see them as removed or anything on the map and was wondering how to dig to find out more about why they were removed of if it is natural for them to fall off over some time.

By pond fountains do you mean aerators? If so, those don’t meet the eligibility criteria, and they’re also unsafe for pedestrian access, so it’s likely they were reported and removed.

Maybe someone noticed and reported them when reviewing a recent addition. I’d classify these as fountains but definitely not accessible to stand right next to them. One pond was quite small and people fish in it. The 3 were the only spots when I started playing again and contributing. As I was learning the ropes I reported one for being on a golf course before I found places with memberships with a subset of people having access were appropriate. It being offending for another reason I wasn’t aware of. I suppose with my stops it is a net gain either way, but sadly a loss for the apartments nearby.

Just let us know if you want some help scouting the map looking for eligible things!

I do want to point out that being on a golf course and being a membership only place can trigger different issues.

In the case of individual golf holes (if that’s what it was), they wouldn’t be necessarily eligible on their own, as discussed in the clarification. Golf & Disc Golf Courses

In the case of an otherwise eligible place only accessible to members, the eligibility isn’t altered by having restricted access.

Maybe that’s not what your situation was, just want to clarify for anyone reading along.

I had been targeting signage. The fountains were what is being classified as aerators. There are a couple of pools and I can add.

Pools are good, apartment clubhouse/ gym, dog parks/off leash area, grilling spots, picnic tables, gazebos, event halls, decorative sculptures. These are just a few of the things that might be around.
