Need help removing >100 ineligible stops!

I’m flustered and I don’t know what to do!

About 3 months ago, an anonymous person submitted about 100 street signs in a neighborhood I frequent. Not memorial signs, not place signs - just the name of the street. They are clearly ineligible and I have no idea how the reviewers allowed them to be approved.

I can’t report every single stop. How can we get this neighborhood cleaned up?

Are they actually community submitted? (You can check this via the Wayfarer map)

There was reportedly an experiment being run to artificially add points in some areas to make them more playable, those points might be part of that experiment.

Hello and welcome @Jaeger153

Could I just check if these are street corners? with the name being the junction?

Could it be this experiement?

Hello and Welcome,

If you would like someone to confirm this please post the Title and Location (Long / Lat is preferred) and we will let you know.

Good Luck.

I’ll check and get back to you! I hadn’t realized it was possibly an experiment. Thanks, friends!

Hi, all

First, a sincere “thank you!” to those who so promptly responded to my rather emotional outburst. I appreciate this community!

Second, y’all were right: the stops follow the intersection naming format of the Niantic-added experimentation waypoints.

So, to conclude - there is no rogue trainer, and the reviewers are likely following policy.

I’m just quick to make assumptions!

Love and light to all,

-J

Glad we were able to help.
If you feel that some are on Single family Private residential property or are not safe then you can refer them to the Wayfarer Team for review and if applicable a move or removal.
You can report via the map or [Reporting a Wayspot — Wayfarer Help Center]

On the Wayfarer map, the usual (player submitted) stops are labeled as “Community Contributed”.
