I’m currently reporting strange PokéStops, and one of them has no image and is named “Aydın Bakkal.” It’s a kiosk, and since when is a kiosk, which can be found on every corner, allowed? Niantic doesn’t follow its own rules and rejects the removal request. The email states that the owner of the kiosk would have to contact Niantic, etc. What is going on with Niantic? Did I miss something, or is a kiosk that can be found on every corner actually allowed?
- Wayspot Title: AYDIN BAKKAL
- Location (lat/lon): 36.637153, 29.385767
- City: Fethiye
- Country: Turkey
Hey, pictureless Wayspots in select countries like Türkiye had been imported from external databases by Niantic (in this case, Foursquare).
Not only did that mean that mostly terrible map entries like adult hotels got imported, but also other things that are not that bad, but still not acceptable.
Now the thing is, everything that does not fulfill a removal criterion, is not removable. The removal criteria and the rejection criteria are so different, that it creates a loophole where already accepted Wayspots that do not fulfill any acceptance criteria are not removable unless the property owner directly requests the deletion. This is also why you received this answer.
