Dear Niantic Team,
This nomination was wrongly rejected by the community for “Private Property”. However, this is a clear error by the reviewers. As you can easily verify in both the main photo and the supporting photo, this historical brick building is located directly on the public roadside/sidewalk. this historical building also serves as an official public event venue (Veranstaltungsstätte) for the local community. This makes it a primary social hub for our village, completely disproving any ‘private property’ claims

You can appeal this decision by using the appeals available to you. You get 2 appeal slots and after your used a slot you have to wait 15 days for it to refresh. If one is not available at the moment you simply have to wait a short time.
Since the issue is that it was perceived as single family private residential property (SFPRP) you would be best advised to provide evidence to prove it is not SFPRP.
State what it is eg an event venue???
and provide evidence that it is a business rather than a home.
Also explain clealry how it meets criteria.

The community also manually rejected an official signpost on the highest hill in our village, which is also on a hiking trail, even though it perfectly fulfills all the criteria. This makes absolutely zero sense and I seriously doubt that these people even read the description.
Please share a screenshot of the other nomination! 2 appeals really isn’t a lot but unfortunately the only other option you have is to resubmit 
hiking trail at the highest point in our village, where you can see the entire village from but the reviewers rejected it claiming it is not permanent or something like that. zero sense > Meanwhile, the automated AI constantly rejects actual historical buildings, stone village crests , volunteer fire stations, and picnic areas in rural areas. What else are we supposed to nominate as a PokéStop? Meanwhile, in big cities, the absolute biggest trash gets accepted as a PokéStop, like McDonald’s, ugly manhole covers and things like that. This system is completely unfair to rural players.
The rejection message I think you are getting doesn’t necessarily mean what you think. The rejection reason “not permanent and distinct” comes up in three situations:
* reviewers did not think the object is permanent
* reviewers did not think the object is distinct
* reviewers did not think the object meets any criteria (exercise, explore, social) and wanted to explicitly reject it, so reject for not “permanent and distinct” because that is the advice from Niantic
Sponsored pokestops and gyms are completely different to user-submitted ones. They don’t have to follow wayfarer rules and exist because the company pays money to Scopely Explore to have their locations featured.
I have only ever seen manhole covers accepted when they have unique designs on them. Regular ones without interesting design are 100% ineligible and should be reported for removal.
If you are getting submissions rejected by the ML system, you could post the details and ask for advice. Often people find that they are submitting ineligible things and it helps them to understand the requirements better, for which feedback from experience wayfarers is useful.
This photo looks like an ineligible direction marker (“To the mountain”), not a trail marker. Please see Trails & Markers

I wrote in the description that its a hiking trail so that should fulfill the criteria?
It doesn’t matter much what you say about your submission if the detail doesn’t back this up.
It is unhelpful to claim something is a hiking trail when nothing in the photos, streetview or links provide evidence for this. At best, reviewers ignore your claim but some will reject because of the false claims.

Kein Treffpunkt / Gesellig sein - es ist kein Ort an dem sich realistisch Leute aufhalten

Mistakes happen. Nominations are accepted when they shouldn’t and vice-versa.
That is why you have the option to appeal if you believe that Reviewers have made a mistake.

ye wow 2 appeals meanwhile the ai rejecting almost everrthing for no reason
It is an undeniable fact that submissions in rural areas get rejected for absolutely no reason, while identical or even lower-quality objects in big cities get accepted instantly. How on earth can this be labeled as a ‘mistake’ or ‘temporary’? I provided a detailed and accurate description, but it feels like the community didn’t even bother to read a single word and just aggressively clicked through the rejection buttons. This is a massive, permanent piece of facade art that perfectly fits Niantic’s criteria.

You are obviously frustrated, and to some extent rightly so. I have read through and you have discussed several nominations in this thread. Some I’d appeal and others don’t meet criteria.
People here have experience and are from all over the world. The regulars here are folks that know their stuff and enjoy helping other Wayfarers. I’d ask that you take what they say and recommend and really think about it. The rules are the same across the globe and unfortunately some places lend themselves to good wayspots more than others.
In the future I might suggest a separate thread for each nomination or questions on why something in particular should or shouldn’t have been accepted.

Since you mentioned that some of these nominations are definitely worth an appeal, I would kindly ask if you or the Niantic team could manually review the historical brick building (public event venue) and the massive facade mural painting. Both are textbook examples of culture and exploration, located directly on the public sidewalk with 100% safe access.

You have only shown the 1st image and description so we can’t see what you stated in the supplemental.
The image does not shout “Event Space”, did you give evidence that it was (web link etc).
Historic, using my UK perspective Historic buildings here are “Listed” with “Historic England”. This shows all buildings and objects that have extra legal status. If you happen to live in 1 of these you need to get permission for any changes. Do you have anything similar that you could use as evidence?
Did you show evidence that the building is not Single Family Private Residence Property (SFPRP)?
The Reject reason definitely seems wrong on this but some Reviewers have reasons to Reject but use the easiest.
It definitely looks impressive but did you show evidence that this is a approved mural?
If you would like non-staff to take a look then you do need to post all the details. Title, Both Images, Description, Supplemental and Location (taken from the 1st email you receive when you submit).

I have removed a comment that I consider wasn’t being respectful to the community.
It is perfectly possibly to express frustration at rejections whilst remaining respectful to the community you are part of. So please try.
We have all felt the frustration of rejected nominations at some point.
By posting here experienced wayfinders can give informal feedback on the strength of each case. We can’t make any decision to change the actual outcome.
Appealing is the route to take to allow the wayfarer team a chance to look at your nomination and if enough evidence is present they can change the outcome.
By showing your submissions in full here we can advise if an appeal stands a good chance or would a fresh submission work better or is it just not suitable. That way you can prioritise your precious appeals.
It may feel uncomfortable, (it’s not meant to 
), as we will ask questions, but they are only try and understand more so we can give better advice.
Just from that photo, the rejection for not distinct (i.e., something the reviewers just didn’t like) feels wrong. It might be ineligible for SFPRP (not possible to tell just from that photo), but is does look like a mural not graffiti. It is however a very unusual mural, so it would be good to have some information about it.
