Nomination should be accepted but get rejected

I nominate quite a lot of stops and I’m pretty good at getting them thru, even if they reject them I will my appeals! I nominate National Cycle Network and have successfully had 40 plus stops created and near by stops changed to gyms. I am getting a couple of the stops rejected and it not even letting me appeal them because of the amount of appeals given out. I have had to do them again hoping they get thru the second time, but some of the rejections comments have either been bank or they have unfairly used wording to much does t apply to these stop, someone is rejecting these for the stake of it. The wording, grammar and location is all perfect and I’ve used the same wording for all the stops which it is applicable to. I have successfully nominated over 250 and I have reviewed over 2500 nominations myself and I have pretty good understanding. Is there anyway I can get my stops reviewed again when they have been rejected, I feel like they been rejected knowing that they have a high chance of getting thru. One thing I like about the game is how I can help make a difference and creating new stop/gyms for other players.

When you are having to appeal lots of submissions, because they are a type that reviewers unfairly reject, it’s always a choice between appealing or retrying. This is just the nature of the game

It would help you here if approved appeals were returned straight away, but they aren’t.

NCN signs are not universally accepted. It is only fairly recently that they became acceptable and some people are slow to change.

Hello,

Something stands out for me

The wording, grammar and location is all perfect and I’ve used the same wording for all the stops which it is applicable to.

Have you given each a distinctive title and adapted standard text to that location?

Eg

NCN 1, Station Road

A trail marker for the long distance NCN 1 at the turning into Station Road

(A rough example)

I have done a lot of NCN and footpaths :joy:

Can we see a full example please.

This what I use and 99.1% time it gets approved and I’ve successfully had about 40 plus stops created, the no looks good around my area.

National Cycle Network

This is a permeant sign for The National Cycle Network and is a UK-wide network of signed paths and routes for walking, wheeling, cycling and exploring outdoors.

This is a permanent feature and not seasonal. This meets the criteria for a Pokemon stop and falls in the guidelines and should be eligible. Thank you

Just in my view, if that’s the same title for all of them without any additional identifiers, it’s a bad title. Wayspots should have unique titles.

Doesn’t take much to add the street or a nearby feature such as a restaurant to the title to make it unique

If I see wayspots already approved called “National Cycle Network” and yet another one comes through for review, it’s very easy to reject as not distinct.

For trail markers, I give every one a different unique title. Only once have I had to resort to suffixing with #1, #2, #3, and I have submitted hundreds. For the description, I say where this point is and where you can get to using the trail.

This is easy for NCN markers - you nearly always have roads to use for both title and description.

Like I mentioned I used the same wording including the same title and it’s been accepted on 40 plus, it’s just down to individual hitting the reject button rather than taking time to think about it!

I’d say you’ve been fortunate not to have had a rejection previously with what seems to be a very lazy title and description

I think you have been incredibly lucky.

If all the titles are for example simply NCN 1 then they rapidly cease to be distinct from each other.

It’s really easy to make each distinctive, and reduce the risk of rejection

These 3 were navigating NCN 74 through an area and all I had to do was add the road name to make each distinctive.

Remember the point of a trail marker is that it is anchoring the trail on the map. Each sign is designed to look similar so the name at each decision point helps navigate the route.

I think if you amend your practice you will be back on course with trail marker submissions. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
