Only 1 Gym for 500,000 People in Az-Zāwiyah, Libya - Level 52 Player Appeal

Thank you, tntnnbltn. Your advice is very helpful, and I will certainly take it into consideration. I hope I’ll be successful in distinguishing which buildings it suits and the surrounding conditions. Thank you for all your efforts.

When will we have another Wayfarer challenge (if there would be any) focused on entire Middle East and Africa regions?

Hello @AlkuNi , your posts here have been very inspiring to me. I am lucky enough to living in a very heavily played area, but my partner lives in a small town of ~500 people with one gym and one powerspot on the main street. I have moved my secondary location to the coordinates you have shared to assist with voting. I understand how frustrating it can be to not have any locations within walking/driving distance and I am glad you came to this forum to call upon other members of the community. One thing I have learned is submitting through the web application and not the Pokemon Go application allows you to add multiple pictures as supporting evidence, allowing you to show a larger area or more views. In areas that don’t have updated overhead map photos, outdated streetview or no good imagery, providing reviewers with more context will help you out immensely. I look forward to seeing more submissions from Az-Zāwiyah!

Cheers

I love this! Would have added exactly this sort of information to the description :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

OmegaDexion :-Thank you, my brother and colleague. I am truly grateful to you, and your help means a lot to me and my fellow trainers in my city. As for your advice regarding submitting through the web app, this is a valuable tip; I will read up, inquire, and practice using it. After that, I will start submitting nominations through it to ensure a smooth process for the reviewers who will be evaluating my nominations and those of my colleagues.

I did come across this one. Looks good.

The one bit of feedback I have though is (at least in translated English) the last part of the sentence sounds like AI. It does not sound natural to me. But I don’t know how it comes across in the native language. Perhaps it is a translation issue.

If this gets approved, and so does Shalabi Mosque which I can see on Google Maps, I believe a gym would form.

This is one where the description feels like a supporting statement, rather than a description. It feels like a bunch of statements about eligibility criteria. Eligible candidate but the description to me is hurting rather than helping the eligibility.

Nothing from Libya today :sob: had hoped to see some more reviews, even if they were in other areas, to help the queue along

Thank you for all these details I will take all these tips into consederation.

I understand how you feel, and I am grateful for all your efforts. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to develop; you are the only ones who can make that happen. I am truly thankful and wish you a very, very happy day.

This nomination must be rejected because it is fraudulent.

Details:
The mosque does not exist at this location in real life; it is situated very far from the coordinates provided in the nomination. Although I do not have the direct authority to issue an immediate rejection, nominations like this should be dismissed instantly to ensure fairness and maintain the integrity of the system. There is no room for manipulation here.

Evidence:
The actual and correct location of the mosque is at these coordinates: (32.8826954, 13.1689968).
You can verify and compare the locations yourself using satellite imagery.

I deliberately chose not to edit the location or move the pin to the correct spot myself, so that the discrepancy remains visible to you. Please note that I am capable of correcting the location to the true coordinates, but I wanted this to be reviewed as it is. I look forward to your advice on how to handle this case.

There is no mosque here

I spotted this too just now. It indeed is not at the right location, as it was clearly pinned on a standard looking building like a house, with none of the architectural features of the mosque pictured. The main photo also appeared to have been taken from google.

Thank you for your observation; it is 100% correct. I am from the area, and I can recognize most of the nominations.

I rejected it for inaccurate location and 3rd party photo (both under thumbs down for accuracy).

I didn’t see anything else from Libya today. It’s a little sad that I am only seeing 0-1 reviews per day. Not much help is it!

Regarding our city, I am in contact with several people; some of them don’t know how to submit nominations, and others have their nominations currently in the queue. As for me, all of my nominations are in the queue, while the rest have already been accepted.

I want to thank you all for your efforts and I am very grateful to you. Thank you, my friends, colleagues, and everyone who has made this infrastructure project a success. It is a massive undertaking, but I am going to double my efforts moving forward.

Regarding those who don’t know how. It could be possible to arrange an in person meet where you could teach them.

The pictures used do not have to be taken at the time of, so they could snap some usable pictures with the regular phone camera mode (not in the in game nomination prompts), and then you could meet with them and talk them through it, and they could learn hands on using their pictures.

I will start working on this starting from today. Thank you very much

I got this one yesterday and rejected it. It’s also using a third party photo from Google.

Just started doing some reviews and got like 4 Libyan submissions out of the last 5 I looked at!
