@frealafgb Now is your chance!
Nothing here at all, sadly. The trail markers are being overtaken by a sea of concrete utility markers mis-labelled as boundary stones. All British.
If those are in a south coast town …..then don’t worry. ![]()
I just found this in Libya to review. Title, Description and Supporting information all just “Ben Nabi Mosque”. Picture doesn’t look like aerial images for location. I hope this wasn’t yours ![]()
¡Gracias, hermano! De verdad te agradezco por los votos. Vamos a mejorar la zona juntos.
When you are planning a submission, don’t just look at it from a local perspective, look at it as a way to inform visitors to your area. Like you addressed above with the “Baladi” sandwiches, although this may be a staple in the local community, if I was ever to visit your region and was not aware of the local cuisine then this would be informative to me or any other visitors/tourists that may visit from different regions.
I have done several submissions in my own area that locals should know but tourists would not, actually even some locals wouldn’t know the history or story of some things in our area and I realised this myself while researching some local wayspots.
Wayfinder and the Niantic/Scopely games that use the wayspots are global so view them in that light and sell the key points in relation to your submissions. Just be sure to keep the descriptions accurate to the best of your ability.
Some may be easy to research, while others can be more challenging. If you can’t get extra info, then keep the description brief and accurate.
Also, I can’t remember if it was mentioned above but in relation to photos:
- Always take your own photos, Never use any from Google or taken from websites as this could get you into trouble.
- When you have taken your submission Cover and Surrounding photos, do not share them anywhere (Facebook / Instagram / X etc.) until you get a decision on your submission, as this can lead to them being flagged as 3rd party and ends up getting your submission rejected or worse leading to sanction on your account.
- Never submit photos for anyone else, especially that you are trying to help build your community because, if someone has downloaded a photo of somewhere/something for a submission and you are not aware of it and submit it on their behalf, you could end up in bother over it.
- My advice on submitting for others is, take the details of what they would like submitted, Go there and take your own photos and then submit them yourself. If they give you text for the description or supporting, also verify that this is not copied verbatim from a website and that the description and supporting is true and accurate.
Thank you for everything. I’ll definitely take your advice to heart. Much appreciated.
Also, if you need any help with Nomination Support there is a dedicated Thread here for that, for some reason I can’t link to it but hopefully someone can provide you the link here.
If you are considering something you would like to submit and would like advice on how to improve your submission you can post it in that section and the community members will give you advice on any aspect the see can be improved and also if it is not worth wasting time on as it doesn’t fit criteria or is ineligible for whatever reason, which will save you time and frustrations
@AlkuNi I don’t know how to make it neater but this is the area I mentioned above

Thank you @cyndiepooh I couldn’t for the life of me remember how to do it, thought it was through the link section on the toolbar.
This is a rural park called Leith Park. It is relatively new, but in our country, once a piece of land is designated as a green space or a park, it remains so permanently.
Do rural parks qualify to be Wayspots (PokeStops/Gyms)? Please note that the access road is safe, as I visited it recently, and the entry fees are almost symbolic (nearly free).
I would appreciate your advice on this. Thank you, brothers.
See if it has a sign showing the park name you could use that as a submission. Parks are generally great submissions (even paid) as wayspots do not need to be publicly accessible to everyone so the nominal fee would not make it ineligible.
Also, parks can sometimes have multiple POI like gym equipment, playgrounds, plaques, statutes etc. if there is anything like that you can submit it.
Just 1 thing to remember, a playground can have a single submission for the whole playground, not each individual piece of equipment in the playground.
Normally gym equipment / workout stations are ok individually because they are normally spaced out around the park.
Thank you for everything; you are truly a source of strength for my friends and me in this area. We are committed to working hard to ensure our region is filled with gathering points, and we plan to visit every underserved location to be fair to all residents.
Most of the Trainers here have entrusted me with the task of submitting nominations. This specific area was a priority choice for local Trainers; I visited it personally and found that it completely lacks PokéStops and nearby Gyms. I will be working on improving this area very soon.
Parks are brilliant- would hope multiple PoIs can be added so do not restrict yourself to just nominating the park as 1 thing and leaving it there. Look for opportunities within the park to add multiple PoIs. Maybe there are different entrances, facilities like picnic areas or social seating, play or exercise equipment, art, trails? Lots of opportunities
When submitting park. Be sure to check other posible candidate nearby because park usually have multiple entrance so you can select which entrance to submit (which may or may not end up in different cell)
I will work on the cell system to ensure they get the maximum number of points. Thank you all for the cooperation and advice; you guys are truly amazing
