I’ve tried explaining it thouroughly in the additional info, changed the title and description, tried it in both dutch and english. But it keeps going to not accepted while I’m confident it should be.
Title: Stekjes ruilkast (Roughly translated as: Propagation trade box)
Description: People can trade plants here. Take a plant, leave a plant
Additonal information: It’s like a little free library but for plants. It’s in a shared public space, the rules are written one the front for clarity. It’s also registered on the official stekjesroute.eu site by the owner. It’s safe and easily accessible. Many of the people in the neighbourhood make use of it and it’s a great way to meet other plant enjoyers.
I’m really confused, so any feedback will help!

What are the rejection reasons?
It is inside a residential property, so if that is a single-family private residence, this is not eligible due to the location. Many LFLs are also ineligible for the same reason, but sometimes reviewers don’t notice the location so they get accepted.
The other problem I see is that it only contains plant pots, but is described as a way to swap plants.

Is it rejected within 24 hours? as that might be the automatic system.
They’re 4 floors apartment buildings, so definitely not a single family private residence. The area is considered a shared space. The rejection reasons were the standard automated message. The previous description in dutch also had garden appliances and such in it. (but better worded because I don’t know the right words in english for it). There’s also a box where you can trade seeds next to it even, so it’s all inclusive.
I love these boxes, they’re amazing and I wanted to make more people aware of them with the pokestop. It was rejected in 24 hours yes.

I agree this should be as eligible as an LFL as it meets the same criteria. It is also clearly multi-family residential, so the location is fine.
It looks like the ML system rejected it. Your options are:
- resubmit with a different photo
- find a time when it has plants in it and use that to submit
- appeal
I guess I’ll try that. I was planning to donate a bunch of my extra cuttings to this box soon. I’ll just use that opportunity to make a picture of it with some plants in it.
The ML system really frustrates me because so far the only things it lets trough for me are hiking markers, signs and graffiti. Anything else I have to spend appeals on it seems.
Hmm. I think the best way to approach it is to step back and think “what do I see” from a photo, imagining you don’t already know. If you still get an ML rejection and cannot understand it, you can always post onto this forum for advise.
(Be careful with terminology. Graffiti is unauthorised vandalism, sometimes artistic, mostly not. Murals are authorised artworks. The same methods may be used for both, but they serve very different purposes.)
I love the whole thing down to the way it collects rainwater so someone can water the plants.
If you use websubmit as well as the main image you can submit up to 5 other images so you could perhaps have more context pictures to show where it is and that may include one that helps demonstrate that these are apartments. You could have a close up of the instructions in the door. It could also include a screenshot of a relevant website ( I also include the link in the supplementary information)
I think a nice picture would have one door open so that you could see more clearly what is inside, less reflection.
And definitely have some cuttings or seedlings in the picture ( again an option for a close up)
