pOI Does not exist at location

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Granite Pointe II

  • Location (lat/lon): (39.5369683, -119.7178235)

  • City: Sparks NV

  • Country: USA

Photo of the location where the POI clearly does not exist and the surrounding area is not similar in the slightest

I dont see street view. You have better chance using gps tagged photo. The photo can be taken elsewhere so its not conclusive evidence

I am sorry but its not. Its just word. Without street view or gps tagged photo, there is no way to confirm this

What was the original nomination/POI for. Can you grab the photo from it with full text.

This looks like a footpath running by a set of terraced housing in a housing estate.. I can assume they are similar from aerial but you need more evidence. So the original poi info would help as I don’t know what I am looking at. I would even take a couple of photos wider/longer view of the area - not just of the alledged POI. Inluding one looking down towards the big store from where the POI is meant to be. You have to create context

I have no doubt you are correct. But I have been here before and you need to be as exact as you can. Particularly as there is no Street View :frowning: But the team that handles of all of these get heaps and heaps of stuff. So that stuff that has all the information that makes it much easier for them are then easily dealt with!!!

Keep up the good work and thanks for helping make the map better  @ImpelDown98

Hi, @ImpelDown98! Due to insufficient evidence, we’re unable to remove the Wayspot in question. If you have additional evidence to share, like geotagged images, please submit a new appeal with additional information, and we’ll take another look.
