You can appeal the rejection here and get them removed 100% if you can proof its AI. Abuser always try to look for a way to manipulate the gameboard. I believe some people aready raise this issue but to upgrade AI detection might need some time.for now what we can do is kept on reporting
I was also interested in overseas Wayspots, so I checked out Sueños de Color (19.516851, -99.211781) on both Wayfarer Map and Google Maps.
The Street View might not be up-to-date, so I can’t confirm it, but it feels too perfect, which is a bit unsettling.
Also, I couldn’t confirm the location of Altar Bella Vista (19.516920, -99.213379), but the horizontal beam under the shelf where the candles are placed looks particularly odd .
I also feel something is off about Altar Virgen de Guadalupe Escalerillas (19.516933, -99.212536 ).
It’s so well done that I can’t help but feel uneasy. Is the only way to know for sure to actually go there and check it out?

Regarding the Altar Bella Vista, there was a wall that appeared to be the installation location, but the texture was different.
Regarding Sueños de Color (19.516851, -99.211781), upon closer inspection, the frame is clearly visible on the left side of the mouth of face in the upper right of the mural, but on the right side of the face, the frame appears to be blended in. (The hair also hangs down in front of the frame. )
Alendros apparently confirmed it on-site, but do you remember specifically which location was removed but then became a Wayspot again?
Only Niantic can remove Wayspots, so it’s surprising that someone is easily restoring Wayspots that Niantic has removed.

However, I think the eight Waspots that disappeared were just as appealing as the other Wayspots.
The point of Niantic’s map is that they are compiling a worldwide list of interesting things that actually exist. Creating fake things just to encourage game play is not thier goal. The pokemon crew does under that more stops means more players so they reached a compromise with wayfarer and created the community ambassador campsite projects. Local communities can become ambassadors and request an area to have extra stops even when there is no points of intrest.
Niantic also has done a series of data imports where it draws real world data from other sites to act as seed waypoints. Usually this goes badly since other sites are not as carefully curated for location accuracy and can include inappropriate businesses. The hope is that these imports help people level up and gets them to submit thier own waypoints.
If there is a area like mentioned in this post then the advice is to go to the city council and ask to make a city art project. Most councils love the idea especially if you already have some artists (doesn’t have to be professional, they just need to be a little talented) and at least some of the paints. These kinds of things improve an area not just for pogo players but also for everyone who walks by.

Niantic’s goal for its maps is to list interesting real-world locations around the world, but they’ve launched community ambassador campsite projects that allow users to request the addition of PokéStops to areas that don’t currently have any interesting locations.Does this mean Niantic will turn things that would be rejected by the general review process into Wayspots ?

The eight deleted wayspots were located in Tlalnepantola de Baz, Estado de México, Mexico, but if the “art project” system advocated by Nichtello were to exist there, it would be possible to use it to create one’s own wayspot. However, it seems a bit difficult for amateu rs.
Here is some info on the campsite program. The pokestops that get created have nothing to do with physical objects and are just conveniently placed. They have a special “community campsite” logo and name. Community - Pokémon GO Community - Pokémon GO
Data imports happened a few times over the years. The very first ones were for ingress and added post office locations, and historic marker locations in the USA from some national database.

The point people are trying to make is that whether imports like the Campsite shown above exist or not doesn’t change the rules on things we users submit. These are added by Niantic in locations Niantic chooses, these are not someone’s rejected nominations, and they do not go through the Wayfarer system. This is not implicit permission to submit nominations that don’t exist.
