So, there’s a local park and one of the stops is way over the visible boundary line of the park and is in someone’s backyard. I reported this but it was denied. Pokestops shouldn’t be in people’s backyards. If someone who has the ability to go fix it that would be great. The park has a gazebo but whomever created the stop made it so far off it won’t let me correct the placement in game.

if the wayspot exists but is in the wrong location, then request for it to be moved, not removed, as the removal request is incorrect. You can request this through help chat - either though Niantic Wayfarer or Reporting a Wayspot — Wayfarer Help Center
If the wayspot in the backyard is the gazebo, then it is definitely misplaced and probably abusively misplaced to get another pokestop.
Ah - I think you made the same mistake I did, as it’s easy to do.
In-game location edits can only be up to 10m. You cannot incrementally move a wayspot to the correct location - you have to use one of the links I gave above.
Each location edit will be viewed as “is this correct” not “is this slightly less accurate than the existing location”.
Oh cool! I wish the email said that it was moved to the correct spot instead of just saying that it was denied. Since the map hasn’t updated it still shows its in the same spot. I thought I was going to have report it again to get it fixed.
This is normal. Your actual report was for removal, which has been rejected. Based on your request, Scopely chose to move the wayspot, but this is not part of your removal request, merely derived by it.
If you ever request for a wayspot to be removed, and it gets removed in the meantime due to another report, your request will be rejected, but Scopely don’t explain that this is because the wayspot has already been deleted. This can also be confusing.
