Pokestop missing

Hi

I just got a pokestop accepted. (it’s been over a week)
The ! on the map, is the new pokestop that is not in Pokemon Go

3 other pokestops were just removed, so nice to have a new pokestop

It should be in its own cell but it still doesn’t show up in Pokemon go

A friend said it was probably because of the 20 meter rule.

Is there such a rule?

It’s simply my fault.

I must have used the wrong cell calculation.

No. This was the proximity rule used by Ingress, which meant wayspots could not become portals if they were within 20m of an existing portal.

For Pokemon Go, it is strictly done using the s14 and s17 cells - each s17 cell can only contain one pokestop.

Hello,
This sounds frustrating.

Can you provide the location please.
I understand that the cell lines and satellite view on pogo maps can sometimes be inaccurate, and some the wayspots are close to those lines.

Maybe I’ve looked at the “wrong” cells.

Well, I’ll just have to try again, even though there’s not that much in our city

Pretty sure the satellite view is inaccurate, it’s in the same cell as the existing spot

Are the playground and soccer field and perhaps that ice cream parlor with the outside seating area spots alread?
