I cannot appeal these and I’m fed up with trying to nominate spots. This creek that belongs to a community park was denied as a pokestop despite it being alongside a park trail and across from the playground. This creek is where the park got its name!
They also denied my apartment complex’s basketball court.
They denied one of a local bar’s iconic arcade game. I even shared how the bar allows kids, is a very popular community hangout spot, has trivia nights and board games, has a patio that is accessible for the public, and is located in my town’s historic district. No reason given.
They denied a park’s basketball court and FALSELY claimed it was a duplicate pokestop! There are other pokestops in the park, but none of the court. It’s simply untrue.
I’ve given up.
More info- the only stop I’ve ever nominated to be approved was two feet from another one. It was at a park in town that is our Community Ambassador meetup location and where events take place. There is a million pokestops already there. They are denying ones in areas that lack pokestops, are safe, and accessible to the public. Half of them had no reason given in the rejection emails. I cannot appeal any more. I am starting to believe that people just love having power and denying people for no reason.
Welcome to the forum @llmeekos and sorry that you’re going through the frustration of having nominations rejected.
Rejection reasons were removed from emails a long time ago. Instead, you can see them by tapping on the contributions tab on the wayfarer website, and then tapping on the rejected nomination. You should see one or two brief reasons as to why it’s rejected. If you don’t understand them, you’re welcome to share screenshots of your nominations and ask more about the reasons they were rejected if you feel comfortable doing so.
Looking at the one screenshot you have shared, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was an automated rejection, as wayfarer uses Machine Learning to filter out some nominations before they get to the voting stage, and it tends to struggle with photos that have a lot of nature-like stuff (trees, rivers, grass, sky, etc.) in them.
You get two appeals, and each of them has a 15 day refresh period after being used, so you’ll get more, you just need to wait for the refresh period.
Like I said, it’s possible some of them might be machine learning rejections. Even if they are human rejections though, there may have been things you could’ve done better with your nominations, and you’re in the right place if you want help and advice. Again, if you feel comfortable doing so, you’re welcome to share screenshots of the rejected nominations.

An apartment complex’s basketball court is definitely eligible. If you want help finding out why it was rejected, please provide details of the submission.
Please check this location on the wayfarer map at Niantic Wayfarer to see what wayspots already exist. You will almost certainly find there is already a wayspot for the basketball court, but it is not used by Pokemon Go due to the density/inclusion rules. This will have been correctly flagged as duplicate.
A creek by itself does not make a good wayspot. You need to explain how it meets Exploration criteria, how it is a great place to explore and how that specific spot is a good anchor for the creek. Without this, it isn’t worth appealing the automation rejection.
An arcade game within a bar is not a good wayspot - the bar itself is the eligible thing (provided it allows children, which you have said it does). Why are you submitting the arcade game? If this is because the bar is already a wayspot, this will be why it was rejected.
