I’m trying to understand what happened with two PokéStops I submitted.
I had one PokéStop approved and live in my area for quite some time. Recently, I submitted another one some distance away (they are not right next to each other). When the second one was approved, the first PokéStop disappeared.
There are already very few PokéStops in this area, so losing one is a big impact.
Can someone explain why this happened?
Is it possible to have the original PokéStop restored so both can exist?
If you want to provide details (including location, such as 49.23745, -2.29467), it may be possible to provide specific advice.
Without that, it’s harder to determine what happened. It could be coincidental that the first pokestop was removed when the second one was added - maybe someone reported it and it wasn’t actually eligible. Maybe reviewers thought the two pokestops were duplicate.
It is possible that the submission of the second nomination brought attention to the existing wayspot and that may have been reported for removal if it met removal criteria. It is hard to guess what happened with no information.
You can appeal to have the removed one restored in Wayspot Appeals (Edit: after Aaron’s comment, there is no point in appealing for restoration, since it was correctly removed.)
