Dear Wayfarer Support,
I am seeking clarification regarding the account warning I received for content I contributed on 7/11/26, 4:12:48 PM UTC.
According to the email I received I was informed that after an internal investigation,
“We have taken action against it.
Here is more information:
Content: Lakeside picnic area
Policy Violated: Fake submissions”
The warning appears to be related to a nomination I submitted for a picnic area located on a trail within a local park I visit several times each week with my dog. She enjoys wading into the water as I watch from the picnic area, as a short break for both of us before we continue on the trail.
I believe this determination was made in error, and humbly request your input as to where I may have gone wrong in my submission process.
I completed the nomination and took the photo and additional background context photos while physically present at the location, moments before creating my submission. I placed the pin at the actual point of interest where the in-game submission form recommended based on my location, and I did not move the pin. After taking the photos on my phone at that time, I wrote the text of the nomination while sitting at the lakeside picnic area itself, and submitted it.
Having receiving the warning, I am confused and saddened. I do not understand what criteria were used to make the determination my nomination of an actual place I visit all the time and from where I created and submitted the nomination using my original and up-to-the-minute photos along with original text I authored while sitting at that actual location could be considered “fake.”
Could you please provide additional clarification regarding what specific aspect of the nomination was considered fake? I am trying to better understand what I did incorrectly so that I can avoid making similar mistakes in the future.
My intention was to accurately submit a legitimate point of interest at its real-world location, using an original photo I took minutes before creating my submission while standing at that actual site.
Thank you in advance for your assistance, I appreciate any guidance you can provide regarding the reason for the warning.
