Regarding the OSM Sync Cut-off Date for the New Season (March 2026)

Hi Niantic and the Wayfarer community,

With the launch of the new season ‘Memories in Motion’ today, I was expecting a global OSM sync to reflect recent map changes. However, I’ve noticed that edits I made back in July 2025 are still not appearing in the Pokémon GO map or affecting spawn points.

Could you please clarify the following?

  1. What is the OSM data cut-off date for the current March 2026 update?

  2. Is the visual map tile sync still ongoing, or has it been completed for all regions?

  3. Are there any specific tags from July 2025 that were excluded in this sync?

It’s been over 8 months since those edits were made, and they are fully verified on OpenStreetMap. Any information on when we can expect another sync would be greatly appreciated.

First of all the base map data used in pokemon Go has nothing to do with wayfarer so this is not the correct place to ask.

My understanding is that the map updates have been irregular and sometimes with long gaps in between (I cant recall the exact details). What is also apparent is that there is a sut-off point from when they take the OSM data and it takes I believe several months then to process it for use in the game. So there is no quick update.
