Hello to the Wayfarer team and community managers
My Wayfarer account was suspended for 10 years a few months ago for violating Wayfarer and Niantic’s player guidelines
I filed an appeal, but the account suspension was not overturned, and the response was just a canned reply, so I was heartbroken and exhausted, and gave up on trying to get my account back
However, my account was reactivated before the “GO Fest” event held recently. I was thrilled that my appeal had finally been accepted, and I was so happy to be able to play the game again and that my ticket hadn’t gone to waste. I really enjoyed participating in the event
However, the day after “GO Fest” ended, I was unable to play the game again I did not engage in any Wayfarer activities during this period. Please explain again why my account was suspended again
I filed a complaint with Niantic Technical Support, considering the possibility that my in-game activities might have been the cause, but I only received a form letter explaining the 3-strikes policy
Please investigate this issue and make the game playable again. Thank you.
Are you sure you got suspension from wayfarer and not pokemon go? Do you receive email from wayfarer?
I thought so too, and as mentioned above, I contacted Niantic’s technical support. I received an email from Wayfarer a few months before the event regarding the suspension of my account, but I did not receive an email after the event regarding the reason for the suspension
Is it possible to share the email? AFAIK the email will look like this. Unfortunately because its is weekend, you might need to wait a while before staff can explain.

Are those two sent at the same day? I assume both are suspension email on april 2026. How did you know that your account got reactivated? And did you receive anymore email recently?
I think this one need staff to explain. I cant give advise about the reason for suspension.
I haven’t received any emails regarding the resumption or re-suspension. The resumption must have been purely coincidental. I’ll wait for contact from the staff. Thanks for the advice!
I’m sorry. Do I really have to discuss travel plans other than gaming here? Since it’s a Japanese city, there are many experiences to be had besides gaming. Your question seems a little off-topic, or rather, I find it creepy. I apologize if I’m being rude, but I don’t want to answer this question.
I didn’t know this because I’m not used to it, but it seems that in the Wayfarer Community, you have to explain your actions outside of the game in detail in order to resolve problems. I feel hesitant to explain all of my travel plans and actions, so I will refrain from answering this question until I receive a reply from the staff. I’ve become a little scared to ask for advice in the Community.
I agree, you are under no obligation to answer.
However, if I were in your shoes—having been abruptly and unfairly banned from a game I had loved and enjoyed for years—the last thing I would want to do is travel all the way to Tokyo, knowing I’d just be surrounded by crowds of people happily playing that very same game everywhere I looked. Perhaps I’m just more fragile than others, though.
