I recently submitted a marine art mural that was rejected. The location is a recreational area that can be rented for parties, gatherings, etc. However, I had submitted another marine art mural, also from a party venue, and that one was accepted… What criteria do the reviewers use?
Sorry, but I’m already tired of this.
One minute something is accepted, the next minute the same thing is rejected.
@niantic should create a system that requires reviewers to watch a video tutorial on how to properly evaluate, and that you can only proceed to the evaluation after watching the entire video, making a system that doesn’t allow you to skip the video to finish faster or leave and return to the page and at the end take a questionnaire with 10 questions, and if the person gets 7 out of 10 questions wrong they would not be eligible to evaluate the community’s suggestions.
Google Maps is outdated, and they didn’t even take that into account. Maps shows the street as it was in 2023, and it’s already 2026. The place is completely different and renovated, guaranteeing better access to the party area.
I believed that they had such a system previously (before my time at wayfarer) and decided to remove it.
With the lowering of the level required they obviously wanted to remove any barriers and hope that eMiLy and the reviewers will keep order and IMO this is done the majority of the time.
I do understand the frustration when it doesn’t work for you.
The difference isn’t even 5 meters, and who guarantees that the evaluators who will re-evaluate will follow Niantic’s And they won’t refuse, as I sent screenshots before from another similar place where it was accepted.
Honestly, nothing will change. When they open it up on Google, they’ll want to reject it because, as I said, Google Maps only shows the location as of 2023.
No, I’m indicating the party venue, I’m indicating the Mural. Do you want me to send you the location of the other mural that’s also located at a party venue? Because if you search for it on Google, it’s so outdated that the venue hasn’t even been built yet.

And you took your own picture for the nomination? Your picture looks very much like a cropped version of the one from the photo in the google discussion of the leisure center.
My advice, you should first resubmit at the correct location, this one is too far off. Misplacing a pin can result in a warning or ban, you should not risk that
Edit: and indeed, please use a picture that has not been posted on the internet
