I received a response from wayfarer stating that there is already a live wayspot at a specific location for a submission I made, however I was standing at that location when I made my submission and their was no pokestop related to my submission nearby.

29°43’26.2"S 31°05’21.1"E, However the pokestop I had suggested does not appear on google maps, that means it has been moved recently.
Hello, did you try to nominate this dog statue?
If yes, it’s already a database entry but ineligible to appear in Pokémon GO due to how they use S2 cells to determine what from the database goes into that game. There would be nothing you can do if all locations are already correct

yes that is indeed the nomination, this is naintics response to my nomination, “Thanks for the appeal, Wayfinder! We can confirm that there is a Live Wayspot connected to the same statue, which is a duplicate of your appealed nomination. As a result, we are unable to approve this nomination”
Yep, for the mentioned reasons, this decision is correct
In the future, you can check beforehand if there already is an entry in the database by looking at the map on the wayfarer website: Niantic Wayfarer

If submitting from Pokemon Go, make sure you have the toggle turned on to show existing wayspots nearby. This works when you are physically there, not when submitting from up to 10km away.
You will also see existing imported powerspots which can be ignored - these tend to have no photo and no description.
