Your problem is that you’re assuming that people who reject just to reject care about the medal.
There are absolutely cliques that reject everyone’s spots except for the ones that they themselves submit in order to give their own group an advantage. You can go look on reddit if you don’t believe me.
You can choose not to participate in Wayfarer, or Pokemon Go for that matter.
This is pretty much the attitude that everyone on this forum and slightly less so on reddit Wayfarer sub have. If you’re rural, go pound sand and play another game.
Funny how you didn’t even address any of the other various stops I tried to nominate in my area, all of which can be argued for, and have been rejected.
Secondly,
Hey so I read the comment and most people are geniuely offer help and trying to give you an insight about Wayfarer truly is? I don’t understand your hostile to folk in here where they try to give their own opinion about your submission respectfully.
It is not Wayfarer fault that an area has a few to none amount to submit. We have to abide Wayfarer criteria and following the rule of the platform.
If you desire so, you can rally your own local government to have some unique stuff to submit.
Firstly, everyone on this forum is here to help in the best way they can and see appriopate.
Secondly, Im a rural nominator myself. I live in the most outskirts of town. I had a frustrating time in the beginning, but after some time I started to really understand the criteria and now 6 months later my rural area has grown to one of the most active areas in town with over 70 accepted wayspots, including pokestops, gyms and even powerspots. So no, you don’t have to play another game if you are rural.
Thirdly, please don’t start scolding and using bad words, that is not appriopate. Respect the community guidelines.
Lastly, we have empathy with your situation, but we can’t help if you start scolding us.
Hi @tupelobound
I’ve splitted your part out of the other thread to give everyone enough room to discuss.
My personal notes to your case:
It isn’t always obvious but community support doesn’t mean that the users here are trying to get everything approved. It can also mean to point to the potential critic points of a submission (to be better prepaired/do rework) or to tell the submitter that it doesn’t fit into the rule book of the game provider.
We can also be helpful to find candidates if you would share your general location.
Maybe you want to share the memorial bench nomination in a separat thread?
Your frustration at your situation is clear, and it is ok to express that frustration.
However in expressing that frustration there is a line that you are crossing where you are writing in a way that is unacceptable. In particular you are taking those frustrations out on fellow wayfinders who are genuinely trying to help you.
I have edited out the unacceptable comments so that conversation can continue. Please do show respect to those trying to help.
In order to help we need more concrete examples or a link to the area. However you need to accept that those trying to help may have to say something that is not what you want to hear, but they will also be looking for solutions that will help.
I pointed you towards the Criteria Clarification Collection which addresses the points of interest you mentioned. If I need to specifically link them individually:
Memorial benches are covered here:
Business signs are covered here:
I just linked you to the whole collection because I did not know what else you may have tried to submit, or what else you might have nearby that could be eligible.
This forum has this topic with suggestions for rural submitters: Tips for Rural Nominators We try to help rural submitters find eligible things to submit. I did not tell you to “pound sand.” I told you that giving up was one of the options you could consider if you are this angry about the rejections. There may not be anything eligible where you are trying to submit.
I can’t follow Reddit conversations and don’t care to go look. Report these voting rings to Niantic. You can use help chat or the Reporting Abuse form linked at the top here: Reporting Abuse in Wayfarer — Wayfarer Help Center
