Removal Of Library Pokestop after addition of a another pokestop

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street Branch

  • Location (lat/lon): 40.704471, -73.988286

  • City: Brooklyn

  • Country: USA

  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):

  • Additional Information (if any): The Library is an integral part of this neighborhood where the community can gather, in a free third space, I would assume this was a mistake after adding the other pokestop Brooklyn Uprising it removed the Library pokestop. There is also artwork in the Library that I think qualifies as another stop which could be beneficial to have a gym because this is indeed a public space that people can gather and play pokemon go in safe enviroment. Thanks.

Hi @AveGawd

I saw your posts in the other topic regarding this, but now that you have provided details, I can see that this Wayspot is not retired. The Wayspot is live, it is just not in Pokemon Go.

This area is for appealing Wayspots that are retired, but there is no issue with the Wayspot in this case so the team would not be able to provide a resolution. What you are reporting is instead an in-game location (gym) now no longer being in-game, which is something determined by Pokemon Go, not by Wayfarer.

In this case, the area has three Gyms nearby (“The Stone Rainbow”, “Pink Elephant” and “Intersection”). This appears to be the correct number of gyms for this area. So the system appears to be working as intended.

Additionally, “Brooklyn Public Library Adams Street Branch” would not be eligible to be a Pokestop due to it’s proximity to the “Coffee King” sign.

As this is a Pokemon Go issue, not a Wayfarer issue, you could provide feedback to the Pokemon Go team. However, based on my experience, you are unlikely to receive a reply. Contact Us — Pokémon GO Help Center

Thanks for the clarification !

I do think you should read the the aeprticke that you were referred to when you previously asked about this.

That article explains the density rules that Pokémon Go are using.

I can see you have been busy adding more wayspots in these boxes. I great to see these additions but adding to the already occupied cells on the map won’t result in new pokestops. .
It might result in new powerspots. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
