Hi, I noticed that the Robinson’s Reserve Walking Trail Markers stop was removed on August 1, 2026, after being in-game for about a week. It was a gym with Pokémon in it, and it suddenly disappeared without any notice. I didn’t even get my PokéCoins from being in the gym. It seems that many of my approved stops are being removed randomly without any explanation or warning. Could anyone please provide some information on why this stop was removed? Thanks in advance!
It doesn’t appear on Wayfarer map or official Pokemon go map but appears on campfire
i dont know what happened there i was standing on the markers when uploading location must be off. i have appealed for a location change to the right spot It is still in voting but the stop isnt there to be moved anymore
The submitter never gets told when a wayspot is removed. This is probably to prevent alerting submitters of abusive submissions, reducing the likelihood of them just resubmitting.
Campfire doesn’t remove removed gyms right away. We had one in my neighborhood that was still showing for about three weeks after it was removed in game.
As wayfinders we do instinctively think of the wayspots we create as “ours”. I think it would be strange not to.
But we nominated them to be in the database and once accepted into it they are no longer ours. So we don’t get told of any changes, and we are also not responsible for updating that spot. It belongs to Wayfarer.

Yeah that’s fine what I do understand. Ive had 12 nominations approved this year with all 12 locations being put in game but 4 from the 12 were removed within the first 2 weeks. 2 location were in blink cells. One that removed a location from 2020 that was in it own Level 17 cell but before the location get removed my nomation got upgraded to a gym that only left a gym in the cell and I believe the last one was removed after changing locations as it was located on private land. I understand the whole idea is the build a AR map but How come they take location so fast when older locations are never removed. Like I’m not worried about it. I re-upload the nomation and if it don’t get approved I move on to the next nomation. I just want so information on it to build my Wayfarer knowledge. I appreciate all information given to help me understand.
Locations can only be removed by staff, with evidence. So things cannot be removed randomly.
If you can offer evidence that these locations were accurate and still exist, you can post an appeal against the removal here in the appeals section. Please don’t simply re-submit removed PoIs - they were removed for a reason, and resubmitting them could potentially get you in trouble. Best to appeal the removal instead-faster too!
I’m still very new to this. What kinda evidence and or information would be needed for that. Just photos and location or is there more to it
Yes exactly. I think its a trail right? A trail map online /photos of it would help verify too
