The score card encourages users to spot and identify trees as they go round. But also warns to be aware of surroundings because of injury.
How bizarre.
A nature trail would fine.
A disc golf course has safety issues.
And disc golf should only be initial map.
2/3rds of the board is an out Disc golf.
So my thinking is it’s not eligible.
But it will be interesting.

I did think the same.

I wondered is this a Nature Trail around the edge (red line) that has a Disc Golf Course in the middle or are people that just want to walk the trail meant to walk to each Disc Golf sign… “crazy”.

Remember a post some time ago where loads of disc golf waypoints where removed and the OP of that thread was trying to argue that it was meant as a Nature Trail, I 100% disagreed with him but if they had these signs I would have struggled.

I was going away from these in regards to wayfarer and more if this is a combined “Nature Trail” and “Disc Golf” then why!!!

id agree with this. As someone who has accidentally hit my younger brother with a disc because i couldn’t see him, requiring stitches in his forehead (he has forgiven me btw, and we joke about it periodically because he took it like a champ and made a very funny joke right after he got hit), I always lean on the side of rejecting golf and disc golf course stuff, unless its very safely out of the way or the initial map. If I came across one of these in my nomination feed, I would likely reject for safety concerns but would want to accept for exploration.

Thanks for the appeal, @ChicagoRay312. We took another look at the Wayspots in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.

Note so I can find this again for reference: a removal report for disc golf tees that included nature facts was rejected. I think this is a bad decision. The course is not meant to be explored as a Nature Trail only.

There is even a safety warning on the scorecard.

Agreed. I’m surprised by this decision and I feel it’s going to encourage users to just name the tees and holes something other than the obvious. I’ve seen several examples of this already. If they’re truly concerned about safety, I hope they reconsider.
