I would like to kindly request a review of a Gym which is called “紳士卷毛小狗” in my area that has recently become hidden and is no longer appearing in-game.
This Gym was previously active and accessible, and to my knowledge, the associated Wayspot still exists and meets the Wayfarer criteria:
It is a valid and permanent real-world location
It is safely and publicly accessible
It has not been removed or changed in reality
Given this, I am unsure why the Gym is no longer visible. I understand that gameboard placement may be affected by internal rules, but I would greatly appreciate it if the team could review this case and confirm whether the Gym can be restored.
If needed, I am happy to provide additional details such as the Wayspot name, location, and supporting evidence.
The coordinates you gave were close enough to help me locate it. This Wayspot is on the map at 22.277929,113.574667. It is highlighted in this screenshot with a pink circle.
Besides this Wayspot, that L17 S2 cell is also showing two Pokestops and an gym. The expected behavior from community observation would be to have one Pokestop or gym per L17. So I cannot explain this situation.
Staff do not acknowledge the use of S2 cells. I hope they satisfactorily address your issue.
It is certainly a wayspot dense area.
The normal observed behaviour is if an in game location such as a gym or stop is moved to another cell it loses its in game status. This is to ensure that the designed density rules are maintained.
Staff will not comment specifically about such community derived observations.
I am writing to request a review regarding the recent removal of several Wayspots in my area.
Recently, I submitted a request to remove a specific Gym that was hidden / no longer appropriate. However, after that request was processed, I noticed that multiple other Wayspots nearby were also removed, even though they were not part of my original request.
These additional Wayspots appear to be valid according to Wayfarer criteria. They are:
Publicly accessible
Physically existing in the real world
Not located on private residential property
Because of this, I am concerned that these removals may have been made in error.
I would greatly appreciate it if the Wayfarer team could:
Review the removed Wayspots
Confirm the reason for their removal
Restore them if they were incorrectly removed
I am happy to provide supporting evidence (photos, location details, or Google Maps links) if needed.
These are just extra conditions for a nomination to be acceptable. Wayfarer eligibility criteria is that something be a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social, as stated here: Eligibility Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center
Internal removal criteria does not include everything that should not have been accepted. There would have been a reason these Wayspots have been removed, if they have been removed. Or it could be that the inclusion rules were simply reinforced after your gym report, and extra game locations that should not have existed no longer show in game, even if the Wayspots still exist. Or correcting the locations of Wayspots could make them no longer show in game. Can you give titles and locations for the removed Wayspots so we can try to figure out what has happened?
Of course I know the criteria of construction.
So these are painted stones, the one I applied for removal is called “粉色吹風筒石墩”, which is located at around 22.278110,113.574945. The reason I applied for a removal is because it is a hidden Gym, and niantic team they do not wanna bring it back as I request for several times.
Thank you for sharing coordinates. I am sorry that I am unable to help you. Hopefully someone can. This area seems way too dense in pokestops and gyms on the Wayfarer map.
It appears that what has happened here is that what the community observes as the standard density rules have been enforced following movement of wayspot (s)
This normal to correct what had developed into an unusual situation.
The inclusion rules are applied globally to ensure that the gameboard is as developers intended.
Attempts to manipulate the gameboard is considered malicious and may lead to account sanctions.
Thanks for your feedback. We’re constantly making improvements to Pokémon GO and occasionally, you may notice changes to the PokéStops or Gyms in your community. While we are not able to fulfill your request to add back these locations at this time, we recognize the disappointment this may have caused and hope you continue to seek out adventures at other PokéStops and Gyms in your surrounding communities.
