I would like to ask if it would be possible to convert a specific PokéStop into a Gym.
This PokéStop is a well-used meeting point for local players and would make a much better Gym than the current one in the area. It is easily accessible, safe for pedestrians, and regularly visited by the community.
I understand that Gym creation is normally handled automatically by Pokémon GO’s game rules, but I wanted to ask whether there is any official way to request this kind of change or if it is simply not possible.

Unfortunately i dont think thats possible. Wayfarer are responsible to provide wayspots and its up to each game on how it will be used. You can however work with your local pogo Community Ambassador to create campsite (basically extra pokestop/gym) for your community gathering spot
