Hello Niantic team,
I would like to request a review of the POI density in my area. We have a very active local community and the 3 existing Gyms in this Level 14 cell are constantly crowded during raids and events.
There are also several real-world points of interest nearby that could help improve gameplay if reviewed as potential new PokéStops.
This is not a request to manually add a Gym, but a request to review the area’s POI density and consider evaluating new or existing locations that may qualify as eligible Wayspots.
Thank you for your time and support.
If needed, I can provide coordinates, photos, or more details of the area.
Wayfarer staff have no control over what becomes stops/gyms in PoGo, as this is set by the PoGo team. The first Wayspot in a L17 cell will most likely get added to PoGo. We do not know how gyms are chosen, but we believe they are chosen at random. Wayfarer just provides the map, and it’s up to each game to decide how it’s used.
Ever so often, albeit rare, PoGo may rebalance the map, but this is up to the PoGo team and not the Wayfarer team. Unless there are Wayspots that no longer exist or do not meet criteria that need to be removed, there may not be a way to get the map updated.

Thanks for the explanation. I understand that the Wayfarer team only provides the map data and that the PoGo team decides what becomes a stop or a gym. I also get that the first Wayspot in an L17 cell usually makes it into the game, and that gym selection is unpredictable.
My main question was just to confirm whether there’s any official way to request a map update when valid Wayspots exist but don’t appear in Pokémon GO. If the answer is simply that it’s entirely up to the PoGo team and there’s no way to request it, then that’s clear. Thanks for the info!
Hello,
When you talk of evaluating new wayspots for the area, then the only way forward is to make submissions go these and see if they can be added. We will be glad to help.
There is no request system for selected areas to be reviewed and adjusted.

Do you mean these are already approved wayspots but not appearing in Pokémon Go?
To include tgese would break the density inclusion rules and that is not something they do.
Finding new places in empty Level 17 is the way forward.
If you have an active group and a pogo community ambassador you may be able to get CA sponsored Pokestops added.
