Hy all
Im sorry but im sad, I come from rural place where there is almost to none wayspots, finnaly i found something with history and i tell abou it but rewievers just don’t read what people write! My nomination was historically critical for people in village, it had meaning, but if rewievers are from cities, they don’t know nothing about life on a farms, atleast not in the past, and is also discriminatory!! I wanted kids to explore rural places but you people just don’t give it a chance! I tryed to explain everything in appeal and please see the reason why it was rejected, not everything that isn’t flashy on picture doesnt mean it has no history! Put some people in rewievers that knows something please! Nominating things it just feels underprivileged for people in rural areas.
Welcome to the forum @Jimi68
Would you be willing to share screenshots of the rest of your nomination and not just the appeal notes? It sounds like you’re trying to nominate a drinking fountain, which usually wouldn’t meet the criteria of being a great place to socialise, exercise or explore, but it would be nice to see the full nomination so we can better advise you. If you let us know the general area we might even be able to help you find some other things that you maybe didn’t realise could be submitted.
I wrote description in my native language, this was build around WW2, there is no much unique places in rural or countryside areas. But this has historycal significance but maybe just in my country, it’s bad beacouse it looks not much on pictures, even now is drinking place for wild amimals even safe enough for people to drink.
Maybe it would be important to explain how it is important instead of just telling us it is
Well i do agree with you, just i don’t know how to tell but i will try, in the past it had more importance, it was source of water, for farm animals and people. It’s functional even to this day. It is hard to find more unique with rich history in rural areas like this. This is historical to local people not much for non-local. And i get it, its hard to se any thing important in this.
This is where you’re going to run into difficulty with this, in my opinion. Just being useful infrastructure doesn’t make something “Important” for Wayfarer. Being old doesn’t mean something is historical.
This may be a good nomination but you may need to do a bit of research to find out more about it. Clearly the “trough” is man-made. It looks to be a natural spring? Who build it? When and why?
Imho you need a better photo and description. Frankly it doesnt seems distinct enough
