My wayspot was declined. It’s on the edge of an forest, the entrance of it to walk through it. The entrance was decorated with big mushrooms made out of wood and garden dwarfs. I don’t get it why it was declined. On the other hand I see way spots on private properties with things that are so ridiculous. Like my friend has his own wayspot in his garden (private property with no entrance for players). He did it all by himself and it was accepted years ago. You can only spin it if you are close enough to the fence as an player. The picture is ridiculous. It’s an big figure, an child which is peeing in the garden… I saw other ridiculous way spots, that let me question so many things. My question is, who and how the decision is made? What are the categories? Does it mean, if I put a stupid figure of something or a statue in my garden, this would he accepted and it doesn’t matter where it is? Even if players couldn’t get close enough because it’s on a private property?

There are four sections there you should expand and read.
The categories you see if you submit a nomination through Pokemon Go are meaningless as far as eligibility goes, and I hope that section will be removed. The Web Submit form does not ask you to choose these data tags.
Decisions can be made by the “automated process” which is a machine learning model. For a short time it was allowed to accept nominations, but now it can only reject them. It will evaluate Wayspot nominations around 24 hours after they are submitted.
If not rejected by the automated process, then a nomination can either go to internal review by Niantic staff, or in the queue to be voted on by the community of reviewers.
Absolutely not. It should be rejected if it is on Single Family Private Residential Property (SFPRP). It could be considered abuse to set something up like this with the sole purpose of trying to get a “Pokestop” as well.
This should be reported for removal if this is the case. I am surprised it has lasted for years.

In order to help, we need to see the reason for rejection, the main photo used, and the text. We can translate, so the original is best.
If the photo you showed is the main photo, I will guess that the automated process has rejected this. We don’t know exactly what it looks for, but I would guess that it couldn’t understand the focus of your nomination.

I started an appeal. I read the mail again and saw that this spot is probably not permanently. I try it with the appeal since this spot exists for 2 years now and will be permanent for thw future too. It’s the entrance to the forest for an nice walk and well known by the locals. I hope this time it will work, otherwise I’ll give up and accept it. Thx for your help

That rejection reason is the primary one that is used not only for temporary objects but also when a reviewer doesn’t feel that it meets criteria. Which of the 3 criteria do you thing it meets? Is it a great place to exercise? Explore? Socialize?
Now that doesn’t simply mean that you can do those things there but would you go to that place specifically to do them.
