Scopely Explore Wayfarer - Discussion

Hi, will there be any issues with ongoing tickets (tickets that are being kept open) w the abuse team if folks will be changing email addresses and such? Or will that be seamless?

Hey @wooperIooper,

Great question! We don’t expect to have any issues with open tickets through the updates. We’re committed to processing them all as we would regularly.

Does this mean the staff will be changing their name from Niantic(name) to ScopelyExplore(name)

Steps away and hopes the question isn’t taken too seriously

haha that is also a part of the conversation

Maybe we could have a vote…

Since you will be updating the site, could you please add a ā€œKeep me logged inā€ or ā€œRemember meā€ optional button? It would be extremely useful, thank you!

For me at least, you do stay logged in on wayfarer, except for the recent problems where it keeps logging you out.

It’ll be interesting to see what changes they make.

Personally I think the new name is a bit too long. Scopely wayfarer, sure. Explore wayfarer, could be very fitting. Scopely explore wayfarer sounds like an almost full sentence, not a name.

If the staff names get changed away from the old niantic branding, I hope it’s something a bit shorter. Explorer(name) maybe?

Could there be some changes to the rejection reasons in the review process?

I’ve had four nominations rejected under ā€œprivate propertyā€ which, according to forum guidance, shouldn’t have been… that guidance being that this is meant to be used for single family residential. Two of these nominations were apartment complex swimming pools, the third was a hotel swimming pool… all three of those were overturned on appeal and added to the game. The fourth is an outdoor art installation at a hotel/casino and is currently under appeal (I just got the rejection earlier this week); I will note that there are several existing stops (including two gyms) associated with other parts of the same building.

It seems to me that I’m being forced to consume appeals because the reviewers don’t properly understand what is meant by ā€œprivate propertyā€.
