Not exciting but interesting in some ways.
I saw this nomination for trail marker
reviewed it with Google Aerial View and saw these markings in the field. So I just had to check it out. The trail was following an old canal where the land had been converted back to original use 100 years ago. But Aerial view shows where part of the network was.

I feel I am the only nerd here. I was in a Village the other day. Passed a small body of water with a couple of benches overlooking it. Thought this looks lovely. Notice two lengths of concrete in water. Took photos to create a nomination. Put on upload later so I can put it on hold while I did a full research of the nomination. Turned out to be the former site of an 18th to 20th century Water Cress plantation… And the brook is now part of an important nature reserve… And there was me thinking lovely view
