When faced with this. A soccer field
With 3 varied suggestions, all seem to be on the soccer field according to google. Pass or «not able to find location» ?
None of those are ideal, but if I were forced to pick I’d choose the bottom left as it’s closest to the side of the field.
I noticed I probably posted in wrong channel. Sorry about that first post. Im at the stage after some hundred reviews Im trying to find the best answers to stuff I dont know. Untill now I just pass and leave it to other people.
Mailboxes ? Street signs ? Power stations with a spraycan «tag»… I dont find the best way rejecting always. I try do honest «work». I try stick with whats simple… best description is the description with text, not the one wo anything. Schools and kindergardens… unfitted locarion, under 18.
Hiking trail signs middle of forest in rural areas is ok wo consider too much. A POI of old waterpump in grasslands, or small solar cell setup with «gives power to community», where google map shows its a residential area, and in someones private yarn: locarion unsuited, private property.
Im lacking the tools too often to describe why I dont reccomend this as POI, so I usually skip
I will reject things like this for not being “Distinct”, as in not being significant in its environment.
I think I saw my historical low today… title «because I want it» pokestop image was a black square from PC, same with supporting image. I tried report as abuse, but none of the options did fit.
It appears that Niantic’s ML (machine learning ai) model has been turned off for nominations, so we are seeing some really bad ones right now that it usually filters out. I think it would be enough to just reject that for title under Accuracy.
Ok. Ty for taking time help a noob reviewer out
Anytime! There is almost always someone here to help if you have questions!
One more I often skip when the support image doesnt qualify (include the pokestop), most often on hiking trails. I have no doubt its a genuine plece.
What do I do ?
unless you have evidence that it is in the wrong place, you can just choose “I don’t know” and check location. “I don’t know” is a valid answer, and I use it often.
Hello and welcome. @aZirkhel
It is isn’t always obvious where to post and you are doing the right thing asking questions
I’ll move this to review support
