It’s ontop of a hill with a great view of an airport and surrounding hills if that makes any difference. (I’ll get a photo of this later to show you)
Sounds like potential……
Looking forward to second photo
Do we know if the bench is commissioned by the Airport or by the local Council? I would need convincing that this is a great nomination. Not saying it’s not eligible, but just need more convincing.
The bench itself, definitely not, IMO. If the bench serves as an anchor for a scenic overlook, perhaps, but the scenic overlook would need to be the focus of the submission, while noting the bench is just serving as the way spot anchor.
You can see the airport in the back of this last picture more clearly its all of those buildings you see in the distance. The airport is a lot more closer than the photo gives off. Its very obvious that theres an airport there at night aswell with all of the lights
I believe this is owned by the company that built these houses as its a new build estate and every new build in my borough has to own and maintain there play areas/parks/open spaces
I’m cautious on this one. I’m not saying it’s not eligible as it will go down to how you describe it during the submission process. Good luck.
Nice views, and since this is what this spot is going to be sold on, I think a nicer day - could be snow covered but sone blue sky and a brighter outlook would work well .
I think the view towards the airport looks best.
Definately cite this as an anchorpoint. I think you will need a good description. I would say build on the relaxation side eg….
Walk away from from the built up area, take a moment to sit on the “reflection bench”, drink in the country air and the green space and if someone joins you have a good natter.
I would use a GPS Camera shot for the supporting photo and try to get in some key features.
Basically take all the advice on submitting, give it a go and cross your fingers.
I think it’s a good spot but not a great anchor. Benches aren’t often accepted, maybe better to emphasise the viewpoint itself - you might need to find the actual name of the hillock if it has one which can sometimes be tricky.
