Show me your favorite sculptures!

Another happy Sunday to everybody.

This week I would like to see your favorite sculptures that you have submitted as wayspots. :statue_of_liberty:

I’ll start with this one, a sculpture by a locally famous artist called Ugge Bärtle, located in the garden of a government building. Hidden so well that no one knew it was there and I found 0 info about it until I went back and found a tiny plaque on its back.

Next is this fish created by artist Margot Stempel-Lebert. It commemorates the aid American Mennonites provided to local children after WWII. This wayspot was so nice that someone copied it and submitted a fake duplicate a couple of kilometers away.

Finally we have this beautiful statue located in the main building of our local university. Created by Ulfert Janssen, it is made out of bronze but painted gold and has a poem on its base.

Looking forward to see your cool sculptures and statues

Here are a few of my favorites.

This weird thing.

Also, does this count as a sculpture?

I like statuary. Also, I legit looked up the definition of sculpture to see if that wood carving counted, lol.

“Finally!, says Tuvstarr”, a sculpture inspired by John Bauer’s watercolor and located on the hospital grounds in Jönköping, Sweden.
A message that it is hoped many children will experience after a hospital visit.

Definitely these ones by Thomas Dambo. I also made a Ingress Mission series for them.

I don’t have that many but here are 2

This was a really difficult one to capture as it is wire in a garden so getting any of it to show up was a challenge. His twin is next to him in the garden.

This is beautiful and at night it is lit up. I wanted to photograph it with lights on it so went back at dusk when there were no people around to take the photo, and enjoy the peace.

Only have 1 submitted sculpture, unfortunately it isn’t in game but it was beautiful.

Had to appeal it.

Translation of description if interested:

Sculpture in the literature museum. This sculpture shows the man Desiderius Erasmus. He was a Dutch Humanist, theologist, filospher, and fioloog. This statue is made by Hendrick de Keyser.

Still my favorite  :rainbow: :sweat_droplets:

I love that weird thing

These are incredible!

Most of mine had to be appealed too  Reviewers do not like inside statues

This one is one of the first accepted sculpture I add to wayspot. I visited a Sculpture Park Museum in the Capital of Zimbabwe, Harare. No wayspot at all in this area of museum. This one is a Pond Water Spirit made by Jonathan Gutsa from opal stone.

I also found this fish sculpture made of some kind natural material in a Haka Game Park, also from Harare, Zimbabwe.

And this Giraffe Statue is from a famous area in Mozambique, from Vilanculos. I am so happy that I could upgraded it and accepted when I was still around, I could collect the gift with my own photo. This is the first one. Only 2 pokestops in this city, and this is the 3rd one.

Currently traveling across Africa and it’s indeed interesting to be able to nominate some cool stuffs. I have some more, but still in voting or in queue.

Welcome to the forum! These are great

Oh, I just remembered this one. If it were submitted today, I would suspect AI, but it isn’t.

The last time I was there, the town had added more permanent signage about it – and was covered in foliage! I couldn’t get a photo to add because of all the kids playing there. I need to go back.

Wow that’s so cool! Are the willow trees alive and growing?
